Teaching an Investigating Family

How's everyone doing? I'm doing great here (especially since I found a whichwich in my area XD) The video logs are coming along fairly well (although I'm not doing them on daily basis yet, but I'll get into that over time... I hope, fingers crossed) We have an investigating family, their 2 boys love me (I've had a fair amount of practice dealing with boys XP) We went to a pumpkin carving party at their house (don't worry you'll see my pumpkin in the video log) and we got to talk to a lot of non-members. It was awesome! We've also been doing a lot of member missionary work and it's been going really also. So far I haven't found a coat (well technically I have found several coats, but trying to pick one that I like that would last for a long time and keep me warm and dry in the winter at a good price has been a bit of a challenge) So how's the porch looking? Who's winning? (one of the vaguest questions ever) and how's the weather? (It's not too bad here yet) I'll try to send a memory card as soon as I can, but for now .... this is Elder Casey Huguley signing off!

A Transfer

Ok, it's been a very hectic day today and I have been transferred to a new area (so last night was filled with frantic packing and the temporary loss of m companion's flashlight (I knew where it was, but it was just to funny to watch him use it to look under the couch for it. lol)

That should make package sending easier for at least 6 weeks. Speaking of which last week I was right about my prediction of when I would receive the package and it was shortly after we finished e-mailing (my luck works in the weirdest ways) and I just gotta say thank you so much I think the best part was the cake (I never expected the cake withdrawal lol) There isn't a whole lot to tell now I just moved to a new area let's see. My companion is Elder McNeil and...that's all I got... Well onto other things I have made the discovery that's it's a very good idea to know how the Seahawks are doing (Washington football team) if they lose that's usually not a good day to go tracting because everyone is pretty bummed out. It's getting dark sooner and sooner every day and according to the general population it can get dark as early as 4:30. I've also come to the conclusion that when it comes to writing in my journal I'm horrible about it (when have I ever enjoyed writing?) so I've come up with a new idea. Instead of writing in a journal I'm going to try to keep a video log using the camera (which means it will get filled up faster and I can send the memory cards home more often) I've been keeping an eye out for a good winter coat and I'll let you know when I find one and how much it is. Now only one thing left to do ...

                        HAPPY BIRTHDAY ASHLEY!!!

This is Casey signing off

Today was awesome!! I've heard of this happening, but had doubts that I'd be lucky enough to catch Casey online. I saw his email arrive and asked if he was still online and he said yes, but only had half an hour left. So we got to talk for a little while it was like texting but it takes a little bit longer to send and receive. I am so grateful for those tender mercies. I had no idea how hard it would be to have him gone and not have any means to see him or hear his voice. He does not enjoy writing and never has, We are blessed that he even sends us a short email. I'm excited about his video journaling and can't wait to see and hear him. I'm going to surprise the kids when the first memory card comes in ;)

Making Progress

Another week has zoomed by in seattle. We're making progress with our investigators and within a few weeks a few of them might even be ready for baptism. Thanks for the tips Ashley I'll make to put put them to use today when we get groceries today. Oh and I got your package last week Ashley, but I didn't get it until after e-mails. If the other package was going to come on last thursday I'm probably not going to see it till either later today or friday it depends on when the zone leaders can get to the mission office. Well so far this week has been very productive, but extremely uneventful (except when my companion decided to eat a strange nut and ended up feeling dizzy for the rest of the day). So not much happening on my side how about yours I still want to see how the front decking looks
sincerly yours

Moving Forward with the Work

It's been a busy week. So one of things I left out of the letter last week was that my companion and I had made posters advertising church tours and we set up several different dates and times for people to come. Overall we gained 5 new investigators and 14 potential investigators and we had about 7 others that were there because they thought food was available after the tour and left in less than positive moods. So we spent most of the week at the church giving tours and the rest of the time going from one appointment to the other. I'm just glad the church tour thing is behind us now I don't think we could manage to do that again with all of the investigators we have now. lol. My companion got a cold just a few days ago so odds are I'm gonna get it in the next week or so and I'm feeling less than enthusiastic about it, but I'll just have to shrug it off and keep moving forward there's work to be done and laying around isn't going to get it done any faster.
So how is everyone doing? What's new?(keep in mind that I have absolutely no idea what's going on in the real world) Is Daryl still alive?(If he dies we riot)

Hoping to have more to talk about next week,
  Casey
